Frequently asked questions

Where do the words come from?

We analysed 10.8 million words of everyday spoken Romanian and ranked every word, and every form of it, by how often people say it.

What is everyday spoken Romanian?

The words people really say, not the words in textbooks. We took them from the dialogue of Romanian films and TV series: 10.8 million spoken words.

Is it for beginners?

Yes. A beginner starts with the most spoken word. If you know some Romanian, a short test skips what you know.

How long does it take each day?

About five minutes for five new words and their reviews. You pick 3, 5, 8 or 12 new words a day.

Is it just flashcards?

No. You learn in short lessons with five kinds of exercises, and grammar tips and phrases open along the way.

Which languages can I learn?

Romanian now. German, Spanish and English are next.
